The Benefits of Unstructured Play and Park Analysis

In an Outdoor Recreation course, a classmate and I wrote a paper reviewing the benefits of unstructured and risk play for children. Additionally, we visited a local park and analyzed it based on its unique characteristics.

Special Olympics BC Healthy Athlete Screening Day Report

In a Leadership Methods course, I volunteered at the Nanaimo Special Olympics BC Healthy Athletes Screening Day. I led a station that measured athletes' balance abilities. This included demonstrating how to perform the test, and recording athletes' test results. Afterwards, I wrote a report about my volunteer experience.

Health Promotion Final Paper 

In Population Health, three fellow classmates and I chose a health promotion strategy, and wrote a research paper on the health promotion strategy. The paper included a detailed analysis of the various health determinants involved, the target population involved, and a critique of the strategy's overall effectiveness.
